Mumbai: Made at a staggering budget of Rs 160 crore, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘RA.One’ is being touted as one of the most expensive Bollywood venture, which will raise the bar for Indian filmmakers.
Apparently, Shah Rukh is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that ‘RA.One’ turns out to be a huge hit at the Box Office as the actor can be seen vigorously promoting his film.
SRK kick started the promotional campaign for ‘RA.One’ from January 2011, when he unveiled the first look of the film and since then, he has been busy in umpteen promotional campaigns. Collaborating with various marketing tools, SRK wants to give a boost to the brand image of ‘RA.One’.
On being asked if SRK has recovered the making cost of ‘RA.One’ or not, a leading media analyst said, “The tie-up are mainly because of in-film branding where the products are incorporated in the film. When you have such kind of activities the brand gets into a contract with a film where the main cast has to appear for a press conference.”
“The advertisement revenue is not very huge. On an average the film will recover around 14 to 15 crore from it. As a producer Shah Rukh Khan has recovered his money and he will not be at a loss as he sold the film to the distributors and now it is the distributors who have to recover the money.”
He also added, “The amount of money that has been spent in making the movie is huge. SRK is surely looking at creating a franchise if this film becomes a hit.”
