Mumbai: No doubt sparks are bound to fly as sources confirm that ‘Master Blaster’ has been roped in for a grand Bollywood debut. Sachin Tendulkar – the legend - has been offered a role by Bollywood’s master craftsman Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Buzz is that the filmmaker has a script which requires the presence of a high profiled cricketer. And Chopra does not go to anyone but the best!
The script is for the movie titled `Ferrari Ki Sawaari` which will be directed by Rajesh Mapuskar. Talking about the offer, Sachin wrote on his Twitter page, "Vinod Chopra has an interesting script called `Ferrari Ki Sawaari`. Just heard it. Sounds awesome."
No wonder, it looks awesome, for the script is by Vidhu and Rajesh, while the dialogues will be done by none other than the ‘3 Idiots’ helmer, the extremely talented Rajkumar Hirani.
`Ferrari Ki Sawaari` stars Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The story talks about a boy who gets inspired by a cricket legend`s Ferrari and dreams of playing at the Lord`s cricket ground. As a matter of fact, Tendulkar is the only cricketer in India to own a Ferrari.
And actually, this will not be a career first for Sachin in the truest sense, for he had earlier donned the grease paint two years ago for a documentary being filmed on a famed religious institution in Mumbai.
So, the makers can be rest assured over re-takes as the ball starts rolling for the greatest one!
