New Delhi: He may be playing a deaf and mute character in Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi!’, but Ranbir Kapoor shows his midas touch in the romance department. The new song released by UTV on Friday- ‘Main Kya Karoon’ shows an endearing Ranbir romancing the beautiful Illeana D’Cruz.
The song has been composed by Pritam and has been sung by Nikhil Paul George. The melodious track shows Ranbir wooing Illeana in the pristine locales of north Bengal.
Ever since the first trailer of Basu’s new film was released, the film has been garnering positive response from the viewers.
An excited Basu said that Ranbir was the first choice for the film and it would not have been possible without him in it. "If Ranbir wouldn`t have done this movie, I wouldn`t have made it. I always had Ranbir in my mind for this role. Even on the day when I was writing the 10th page of the script," Basu said.
"Ranbir as a person is very spontaneous and naughty. His aura is such that I remember on the last day of shoot, Ranbir was bidding good bye to all by hugging them. I saw how everyone was feeling that moment....they were really feeling sad," Basu said.
"I don`t know if it was RK or ‘Barfi!’ who created that feeling in all," he said.
The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, who plays an autistic character.
