WATCH: Sridevi dances to ‘Navrai Maajhi’ in ‘English Vinglish’
Mumbai: With each of its promos, Sridevi’s comeback in ‘English Vinglish’ is becoming a highly anticipated film this year.
The makers of the film released a new track, ‘Navrai Maajhi’ on Monday which shows Sridevi giving her trademark thumkas and dancing to the Marathi-Hindi song. Musician Swanand Kirkire has penned the lyrics as well as sung the song with Sunidhi Chauhan and his mother, Marathi singer Neelambari Kirkire. The music has been composed by Amit Trivedi.
The diva of the 80s, who has been missing from the silver screen for more than a decade now, is making her comeback in debutant director Gauri Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’. Sridevi plays an Indian housewife Shashi settled in America, who takes up the daunting task of learning English to impress her family.
The song is the part of a marriage sequence and Sridevi is seen dancing in it. Known for her otherwise glam avatar on screen, the actress sports a de-glam look throughout the film and looks refreshing as the simple housewife.
Have a look at the song. Sridevi, still has got it!
