What made Sanjay refuse to shoot for ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’

Mumbai: Arshad Warsi aka Circuit of the ‘Munna Bhai’ series has reportedly annoyed his senior co-star Sanjay Dutt while shooting for Anand Kumar’s ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ that also stars Vivek Oberoi.

Apparently, Arshad was trying to help Anand direct the film and this eventually offended Sanjay. The director seemed to be at great discomfort handling the project. So when Arshad started calling the shots, Sanjay wondered what was happening. Sanju Baba was so terribly annoyed that he cancelled his dates given for the film’s schedule.

Talking to a tabloid, a source said, “There is tension on the sets of ‘Zilla Ghaziabad.’ Anand Kumar, who has directed only one film ‘Delhi Heights’, was unable to handle the project comfortably. Consequently, Arshad who is very close to Anand started calling the shots.”

Narrating what Sanjay did on learning that something was wrong on the sets, another source revealed, “Dutt is a very senior actor. He put his foot down, spoke to the producer Vinod Bachchan and demanded to know what was happening. He did not want to take directions from Arshad. Dutt however, did not show his displeasure to Arshad. After all, they are very close ever since they worked in ‘Munnabhai MBBS.’”

Reportedly, Dutt has also told producer Vinod Bachchan to re-shoot his scenes as per the narration that was given to him prior to the start of the shoot.

However, Bachchan denied the news and said, “Aisa kuch bhi nahin hua hai. (Nothing of this sort happened) We are shooting very comfortably.”
