`Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani` leads Filmfare with 9 nominations

Coming-of-age romantic comedy `Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani` is leading in the nominations at the 59th Filmfare Awards with 9 nods including best film, best director for Ayaan Mukerji and best actor for Ranbir Kapoor.

Mumbai: Coming-of-age romantic comedy `Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani` is leading in the nominations at the 59th Filmfare Awards with 9 nods including best film, best director for Ayaan Mukerji and best actor for Ranbir Kapoor. `Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani` is closely followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela`, which has landed seven nominations over all, including best film. Bhansali has been nominated in the best director and best music director category. The film`s male lead Ranveer Singh has got a best actor nomination.
Deepika Padukone, who has had a stupendous film year in 2013, has bagged a nomination in the best actress category for her role of a Gujarati damsel in `Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela`. Farhan Akhtar`s portrayal of athlete Milkha Singh` in `Bhaag Milka Bhaag` has won him a nomination in the best actor category alongwith a nod each for director Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra and the film. Divya Dutta, who played Milkha`s sister in the films has also bagged a nomination the best supporting actress category. Besides `Bhaag Milka Bhaag`, Shah Rukh Khan starrer `Chennai Express` and Anand L Rai`s `Raanjhanaa` also have six nominations each. `Chennai Express` has been nominated in the best film, best director (Rohit Shetty), best actor (SRK) and best actress (Deepika) categories. Banaras-based romantic drama `Raanjhanaa` has landed a nod each for best film, best director, best actress (Sonam Kapoor), best actor (Dhanush), best supporting actress (Swara Bhaskar) and best music director AR Rahman.
