Mumbai, Oct 27: With his two-bestseller books already being adapted by filmmakers and spread all over the celluloid, acclaimed author Chetan Bhagat plans to take a direct plunge into the filmmaking process. The young author who has won many accolades and praise for his two books ‘One night @ the Call Centre’ and ‘Five Point Someone’, has now turned a scriptwriter. According to industry sources, Chetan will be very soon penning down a script for Ashtavinayak Productions. "Chetan has already had talks with the producers. He tossed up some ideas and is developing it into a script. At the moment, he is in the midst of writing it", adds the source. With the project at formative stages, the casting of the project still needs to be worked out. However a spokesperson from the productions house stated that casting will depend solely on Bhagat’s novel. His earlier works ‘One Night @ The Call Center’ and ‘Five Point Someone’ have been adapted into films by directors Atul Agnihotri and Rajkumar Hirani respectively.
