‘Harry Potter’ e-books launch delayed till early 2012

Washington: JK Rowling’s ‘Harry Potter’ e-books will now be launched by Pottermore shop in the first half of 2012.

Pottermore is JK Rowling’s mysterious ‘Harry Potter’-themed interactive website which extends and enhances the books’ experience to fans who want more out of the series.

The delay in the sites launch has in turn held up the sale of the e-books as it is the only place to buy the electronic instalments.

In order to be the first to access the Pottermore site, one will have to sign up the registration, which will begin by October end and they will be allowed to enter in batches, which could take up weeks or even months depending on the demand, CBS News reported.

No matter how early the registration is done, the e-books will be available only after the full launch of the store.
