London: Sir Paul McCartney has paid tribute to his late wife Linda’s photography talent through a new book.
The 68-year-old has picked some of his favourite photographs taken by Linda, who passed away in 1998, for a new book.
The former Beatle and his children, including fashion designer Stella and photographer Mary, helped select pictures from an archive of more than 200,000 for the book which is described as a “lasting testament” to Linda.
“From the early days I have very much admired her photography and being able to experience it personally only added to my feelings of admiration,”
a daily quoted him as saying.
“In those days, it was quite unusual for a woman photographer to be working on her own in photography and, in many ways, I know she has inspired a large number of female photographers who followed in her footsteps,” he added.
The book, called ‘Life In Photographs’, costs 44.99 pounds and is also on sale in a special limited edition for 1,500 pounds.
