Sydney: When it comes to books, Australians, it seems, have a taste for the supernatural.
Vampires and zombies are the big winners in the results from Australia``s largest book poll.
The results of the Angus& Robertson Top 100 show that Stephenie Meyer``s The Twilight Saga is at top spot, followed by J.K.Rowling``s Harry Potter series.
Charlaine Harris``s Sookie Stackhouse series, on which the vampire TV series True Blood is based, landed the eighth spot.
The fantasy theme continued, with Seth Grahame-Smith``s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies making it to number 33.
Jane Austen``s original held off the challenge, however, beating the new inclusion by 27 places at number four.
Australian authors also did well, with 22 books on the list.
Matthew Reilly had five books included for the second year in a row.
"What a tremendous compliment. To have just one book on the list would be fantastic all by itself, but five is simply incredible,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying.
