London: Rare and unseen pictures of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor are set to feature in a new book chronicling their turbulent love life.
Burton was from a Welsh-speaking, working class background whereas Taylor was born to an American arts dealer and a former actress in London.
He first wooed Taylor while filming the last of the great sword-and-sandal epics, Cleopatra, in 1962.
Both tied the knot but soon began a very public affair, reports the Daily Express.
Their saga included two marriages, two divorces and a series of films that highlighted their magnetic attraction, whether as the bitter Martha and George in ‘Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf,’ or Petruchio and Katharina in ‘The Taming Of The Shrew.’
