New Delhi: Chetan Bhagat's latest book 'Half Girlfriend' has run into yet another controversy.

After getting a legal notice from the Dumraon royal family for their references in his book, the bestselling author has now been slammed by an English scholar from Bihar, who has accused him of plagiarism.

According to reports, the complainant, Dr Birbal Jha, alleges that the story of `Half Girlfriend` has been copied from his play `Englishia Boli`.

Dr Jha is the director of British Lingua, a spoken English institute in Patna.

Reports also suggest that Bhagat had paid a visit to the institute during his visit to Bihar and met Jha and his students there.

Dr Jha has also maintained that his book was released much before `Half Girlfriend` was out.

Earlier, the erstwhile royal family of Dumraon, alleged that the book portrayed them in a bad light and threatened to slap a defamation suit against the author and the publisher.
