Publisher HarperCollins India has won the Asian Publishing Award for its campaign to promote the dark human comedy, ‘Johnny Gone Down’ by Karan Bajaj.
The award was presented to the publisher at a function in Bangkok Friday evening, an announcement from the publisher said.
HarperCollins India became the runner-up in the "Best Use of Multimedia Marketing by a Book Publisher" category of the Asian Publishing Awards 2011 for "Who is Johnny?" campaign executed in phases.
With 63 entries from 29 companies across nine countries vying for the award, the judges had a difficult time evaluating the entries, Harper Collins India said.
