Cannes: `Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told`, a feature produced by Shekhar Kapoor exclusively for the 64th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, was screened today.

The film`s inclusion in the Festival was announced at the eleventh hour as the sole representation of Indian cinema at prestigious film fest.

`Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told`, begins with a conversation with Kapoor, a member of the Festival`s main jury in 2010. Why not make a movie that brings together the most wonderful moments in the hundreds of Indian musical films, with all their moving pageantry and dance?

Some months after the chat with Kapoor, `Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told` popped out of the cans.

It is a swirling and poignant montage in which Kapoor, `Rang De Basanti` director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Jeff Zimbalist, an American documentary moviemaker best known for his films like `Favela Rising`, `The Two Escobars` and `The Scribe of Uraba` paint their tributes to Bollywood, the Hindi film industry based in Mumbai, a city where dreams are made and unmade almost magically.
