`Vaastu Shastra` director Saurabh Narang passes away
New Delhi: Saurabh Narang, who directed Sushmita Sen in `Vaastu Shastra`, has passed away.
The director was battling stomach cancer for last few months and breathed his last today morning. He was in Sri Lanka where he was undergoing treatment.
Narang who was in his late 30s, started off quite young in the industry when he bagged an opportunity to direct one of the first horror films coming from the house of Ram Gopal Varma - `Vaastushastra` in 2004.
The film was a moderate success. Narang was looking forward to make a comeback to direction. As per reports, the film was titled `Return Gift` and was supposed to star Rajeev
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said, "I mourn the death of a bright young film maker Saurabh Narang. I worked with him on Haqeeqat a show on human rights violation. I still remember Sourabh`s last words to me `I am going survive this sir`, he said with a shy smile. Something told me that he would not."
