Washington: Actress Lisa Bount, 53, was found dead at her Arkansas home on Wednesday.
The Pulaski County Coroner`s office told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that the actress likely died on Monday, but they are not suspecting any criminal action in her death, reports Usmagazine.com.
Blount`s role in ‘An Officer’ and ‘A Gentleman’ earned her high praise from fans and critics alike, she was nominated for a Golden Globe and was voted favorite female newcomer in 1983 by an Us Magazine readers` poll.
The actress made more than 40 appearances in both film and television, which included roles on ‘Moonlighting’, ‘Picket Fences’ and ‘Chyrstals’ (opposite Billy Bob Thornton).
In addition to acting, Blount also produced three films, including the 2002 Oscar winner ‘The Account’ (which co-starred her husband, Ray McKinnon).
During her acceptance speech, the actress/producer credited her spouse for helping her win the Academy Award.
"As one door was seemingly closing in my life, another door opened. And I only have one person to thank for that, my husband Ray McKinnon,” she said at that point in time.
