New Delhi: Aamir Khan, who was in Australia for the screening of his film `Peepli Live`, made the best of his stay by visiting the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground and the National Sports Museum there.

Aamir, who is huge a cricket fan, spent time admiring Sunil Gavaskar`s Test cap and signed bat, a full-sized statue of Don Bradman and the legendary cricketer`s original "baggy green" cap, and watched the lifelike hologram of Shane Warne at the museum.

"I`m such a huge cricket fan and I was looking at the statue of Don Bradman and I was like, `I have to come back here and watch a match here`," Aamir said in a statement.

Aamir, whose production venture "Peepli Live" was premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival, also enjoyed a lunch with former Australian cricketer Damien Fleming at the ground.
