Acting does not suit me, says James Franco
London: American actor James Franco prefers education over acting and insists that the former is not his main passion.
The `Milk` star, who was accepted to Yale University to study a Ph.D in English earlier this year, admits the movie world is not his main passion, Contactmusic reported.
"Acting doesn`t do very much for me. I put off school for it, but it`s not like it was a sacrifice or anything. I didn`t really miss school until I went back. Or maybe I missed it and nobody believed that, not even me. The work of it - and I have really great teachers - that`s the stuff that adds up for me in a way that acting doesn`t," Franco said.
The 32-year-old actor will next be seen on the big screen in the movie `Eat, Pray, Love`, based on a book written by Elizabeth Gilbert`s bestselling memoir alongside Julia Roberts.
"What can I say about `Eat, Pray, Love`? Let`s see. You know, in `Eat, Pray, Love`, my character mostly appears in the first 20 pages of the book. And I can definitely say I read the first 20 pages," Franco said.
