London: Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed he wanted to be a chef or a soccer player when he was younger.
The ‘Love and Other Drugs’ star who landed his first acting role in ‘City Slickers’ when he was 10, had many varied ambitions as a child, and though he eventually settled on acting, he admits his parents weren`t too thrilled at first, reports a website.
"I wanted to be a chef. I have always loved cooking. I also wanted to be a professional soccer player. But my parents enslaved me into acting as a young child and it`s been a really tough life," he said.
"They let me audition for things. But they didn`t expect me to get cast, which is funny, I didn`t either. So when I did get cast, they wanted me to stay in school," he added.
