After producer Boney Kapoor, Karan Johar threatened by gangster

Mumbai: Director-producer Karan Johar has lodged a complaint at the Khar police station in Mumbai, after he received an extortion threat via SMS from an unknown number. The case has been transferred to the anti-extortion cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch. The security outside Karan`s residence has been strengthened following the threat. Producer Boney Kapoor too had received threats recently. A complaint was registed by him at the Oshiwara Police station yesterday which was also transferred to the anti-extortion cell. Police suspect the involvement of a gangster who uses Internet phone services to make phone calls and hence it is difficult to trace the source of the call.
