New Delhi: In a setback for the AIB team and the actors who participated in the controversial roast, reports have now come in that a Mumbai court has ordered a FIR against the Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and the other present actors.
The controversy started when a written complaint was filed by Akhilesh Tiwari, president of Brahman Ekta Seva Sanstha in Mumbai. The report was filed at Sakinaka police station in early February, after the show was aired on YouTube when the trio along with other performers allegedly passed abusive and offensive remarks against one another and even at the audience in the roast conducted by the AIB Knockout, a comedy show.
The roast directed the Arjun and Ranveer was attended by the who's who of the industry and reportedly the current FIR has been lodged against those who were present as well.
AIB pulled off the show from YouTube after charges of obscenity were levied against the organisers. They also offered unconditional apology to religious communities for hurting their sentiments.
