Ajay had hosted Modi’s debut Google hangout session and had met the then Gujarat Chief Minister on a few occasions. The two-time National Award winning actor has been extremely vocal about concerning issues and was one of the few prominent figures in Bollywood to oppose Bollywood’s engagement with Pakistani actors, artists and technicians.
On Tuesday evening, the PM addressed the nation to announce that from midnight Rs 1000 and Rs 500 would no longer be legal tender.
The giant leap was taken to curb corruption and fight black money.
