Akshay Kumar takes cue from Aamir Khan
Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s latest item number, besides creating ripples at the Box Office, went on to inspire another actor turned producer Akshay Kumar.
News has it that like Aamir, who decided, at the last moment, to be a part of his home production ‘Delhi Belly’ by gyrating to an item number for the film, Akshay Kumar too wants to work on the same formula for his upcoming home production ‘Speedy Singh’.
Akki could not resist making his presence felt in his production and decided to do a dance number with the Grammy Award winning American rapper Ludacris for the end credit roll of the film.
A source informed that the actor shot the dance number for 3 to 4 days for which he had to fly to Toronto.
A source said, "Akshay thoroughly enjoyed himself with Ludacris. After the shoot, the two of them really bonded and ever since then, they have been in frequent touch."
Akshay has in the past worked with international music sensations like Kylie Minogue for Anthony D`Souza`s ‘Blue’ and Snoop Dogg for Anees Bazmee`s ‘Singh is Kinng’.
A source close to the film told a leading daily, "RDB has composed the song and Ludacris has worked on the rap part."
‘Speedy Singh’, directed by Robert Lieberman, will first be screened at the Toronto Film Festival and then hit the theatres worldwide on September 23.
