New Delhi: Actor Akshaye Khanna, who last appeared in the 2012 comedy ' Gali Gali Chor Hai', revealed that he remained absent from the glamorous industry to sort out his personal issues.

Interacting with media at the trailer launch of ' Dishoom', the 41-year-old actor said, "I had some personal issues, which I had to sort out. So, I couldn't work for a while. I am thrilled to be back with this film and a couple of more films this year."

The ' Dil Chahta Hai' actor, who remained absent from the silver-screen for almost three years, will be seen sharing the silver -space with Varun Dhawan and John Abraham in the film.

In the Rohit Dhawan-directed movie, Akshaye will be essaying the role a grey character named Wagah, who kidnaps India's best cricket player right before an India versus Pakistan final match.

The movie that also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri is slated to hit the theatres on July 29.
