Some reports suggest that the actor is suffering from Diverticulitis. Son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, daughter Shveta, wife Jaya and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh are at the hospital. Media reports first claimed that Big B was taken to hospital for a regular check-up but it later turned out that he was suffering from severe stomach ache. Big B is said to be unwell since late last night and started having a stomach ache in the morning, which later became severe, due to which the actor was rushed to the hospital. He had been shooting for 'Teen Patti' till yesterday. Doctors at the Nanavati Hospital first said that Amitabh’s visit to the hospital was part of a routine check-up and fans need not worry, but when they referred him to Leelawati Hospital, his fans and family got worried. In the morning, a lot of his fans had assembled outside ‘Jalsa’ to greet the superstar on his 66th birthday but they were left shocked when they spotted Big B inside an ambulance leaving for the hospital. Previously, Amitabh Bachchan was operated upon in 2005 for Diverticulitis. This time the diagnosis is a tentative incisional hernia. It is a result of an incompletely healed surgical wound, the result of an overworked schedule of the Bollywood legend after his operation in 2005. The hospital has released a bulletin, which states that he has undergone blood investigation and CT scan of the abdomen and reports are awaited. He is relieved after medications. The reports will be available tomorrow morning.
