Amitabh thanks media for restrained coverage

Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan thanked the media for giving the family privacy during the birth of his grandchild. The actor appreciated the restrained coverage of the media during Aishwarya Rai’s delivery. The Editor’s Guild had earlier passed certain guidelines to all the leading news channels to have restricted coverage of Ash’s delivery. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan along with their family welcomed the birth of their first born earlier on Wednesday. Both Abhishek and Amiatbh broke the news on Twitter and the coverage since then has been a muted one. Amitabh tweeted, “As I travel back from the hospital I need to thank the media for keeping their word of not intruding our privacy. Deeply obliged !(sic)” “We will give time to both electronic and print media .. PR will be setting up .. Have been up for more than 24 hours .. Need rest .(sic).”
