London: Actress Angelina Jolie has given her new husband Brad Pitt a rare watch worth nearly 2 million pounds.
The 39-year-old actress's romantic gesture came to light after the 1952 Patek Philippe platinum chronometer was taken to a small shop by a friend to be inscribed with the words 'To Roly from Nessa', reportedly.
They are characters the newlyweds play in the film 'By The Sea', which they are currently making in Malta. George Farrugia, 57, who runs Dolindo Jewellers on the neighbouring island of Gozo, said, "I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one. Oh yes, it was very valuable.
"I wasn't nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly." Pitt and Jolie, who wed last month after nine years together, are keeping out of the limelight during the project although they have taken their children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox bowling in Gozo.
