Angelina Jolie wants to visit Syrian refugees who fled to Turkey
London: ‘Tomb Raider’ star Angelina Jolie is seeking permission to visit Syrian refugees who have fled violence and are camped out on the Turkish side of the border.
Turkey Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal said an application to visit the refugees has been made on behalf of Jolie, 36, the Daily Express reported.
Unal said the application for the actress, who is a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, is being assessed.
More than 8,500 Syrians are said to have fled to Turkey to escape a crackdown on an anti-government uprising.
