Mumbai: Reckoned as an international star, post ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Anil Kapoor has been making waves in Hollywood. Recently, Anil’s admiration for Bolywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was known when he ditched Hollywood star Tom Cruise to be along with Big B in his popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
Sources reveal that Anil left immediately after MI4 shoot to be on Big B`s show. Reportedly, the actor is busy shooting with Tom Cruise in Dubai for the action packed ‘Mission Impossible 4’. Interestingly, Anil left poor Tom high and dry in order to keep his dates with Amitabh Bachchan in KBC.
After wrapping the shoot of Dubai schedule, Anil let go the customary bonding session with Tom, which happens when the shoot gets complete. As soon as the shoot got complete, Anil took the first flight to Mumbai.
Anil was doubly excited because he himself has played the role of the quizmaster of the same show in Danny Boyle`s Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. And it was that role that opened Hollywood doors for him.
So, when Anil told Cruise and the cast of MI4 about his eagerness to meet Big B, the Hollywood superstar and everyone else made sure that their schedule wrapped up as per Anil`s requirement.
Speaking to a daily Anil said, “I had to rush from the set to the airport to be back in Mumbai in time because I was really looking forward to shooting with Amitabh Bachchan.”
