Anu Malik’s tribute to Sachin draws ire
Mumbai: Even as fans of Sachin Tendulkar debate his induction in the Rajya Sabha, there is one fan who clearly is not yet over the cricketers 100th century in international cricket.
Inspired from Dhanush’s Kolaveri Di, Bollywood music composer Anu Malik has dedicated a song to Sachin’s 100th century titled `Sachin Ke Sau Ka Dhamaka`.
But more than Malik`s whole hearted tribute to Sachin, what seems to have caught everyone’s attention is the slew of unsparing comments he’s been drawing, with people lambasting the composer for the sheer ridiculousness of the song.
One of the comments read, "Sachin`s reaction after listening to this song: Why the hell did I score 100 centuries?" Another said: "You (Malik) should think of retiring else Sachin will seriously think about retiring." A third went: "This is an embarrassment to Sachin`s success."
When Malik was contacted, he was humble enough to take the criticism in his stride and said, "Shall try harder next time," adding, "I have done it for my love for Sachin and I stand by my song. I love him and the song is my way of showing it. He has liked it and that`s enough for me."
Meanwhile, the master blaster is known to have texted Malik saying, "What a lovely song you have made on me. Really enjoyed listening to you. Take care."
