Anything for Anna, says Vishal Dadlani
Mumbai: The sixteenth day of August, 2011 has become a significant day in the history of India. Anna Hazare’s non-violent mass movement has stirred the nation and his followers include people from all walks of life. One among them is Bollywood’s Vishal Dadlani.
The die hard patriotic Indian musician of the famous Vishal-Shekhar music director duo, Vishal has come out in full support of the 74 year old social activist. He sported a Gandhi topi that read ‘I am Anna’ and looked like a revolutionary.
Vishal has been a prominent face in the gathering at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai since 16th August. Expressing what he feels for Anna’s movement and his earnest attempt to contribute his bit towards the cause, Vishal while talking to a daily said, “Just back from Azad Maidan. Didn`t get arrested today. Will try again tomorrow, and everyday.”
Vishal has been singing patriotic songs like `Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawaano Ka` and `Rang De Basanti` and has been shouting slogans at the Azad Maidan.
"I am not here as a representative of Bollywood. It is my individual expression in support of Hazare`s movement," Vishal said clarifying that he wasn’t representing Bollywood but as an aam aadmi.
Actor Poorab Kohli was also one among the crowd. He said, "I am proud of India, and that is why I have come here."
And with the Delhi Police granting Anna and his team permission to fast at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, we are sure Vishal will be happy to see the activist making his way to the venue.
So what is you couldn’t court arrest Vishal, you can definitely join Anna at Ramlila!
