Anything for Simon West, says Nicolas Cage
Los Angeles: Actor Nicolas Cage describes Simon West as one of the best directors and says he can never refuse an offer from him.
In 1997, West signed Cage to create box-office magic with blockbuster "Con Air" and now the director-actor team is trying to steal the show with ‘Stolen’.
"I would say yes to Simon West on almost anything because I feel he is one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with, and I had a great experience working with him on `Con Air?," he said in a statement.
“He’s a gentleman and he’s an artist and he knows what he wants. He’s supremely confident, he comes in and he sculpts, and then you have a new way of looking at the scene,” he added.
‘Stolen’, being distributed by Multivision Multimedia, releases in India Nov 9.
In ‘Stolen’, Cage plays William Montgomery, a master thief, who has been sent to prison for eight years after being double-crossed in a heist which went awry.
Upon his release, he is ready to leave his criminal past behind and rebuild his relationship with his estranged daughter, who he discovers has been kidnapped.
The film follows his frantic search for his daughter as he has only one day to deliver the ransom money of $10 million.
