Aretha Franklin gets honorary Harvard degree

London: Aretha Franklin received an honorary degree from the Harvard University.

Franklin reportedly gave a starring rendition of the US national anthem before she received the honour at the university`s annual commencement ceremony.

University Provost Alan M Garber introduced the 18 time Grammy winner as `her regal highness, the Queen of Soul".
