Auditorium to be set up in Rewa in memory of Raj Kapoor

A world class auditorium will be constructed in Rewa city of Madhya Pradesh in the memory of legendary actor late Raj Kapoor.

Bhopal: A world class auditorium will be constructed in Rewa city of Madhya Pradesh in the memory of legendary actor late Raj Kapoor.This was announced by Madhya Pradesh Public Relations, Energy and Mining Minister Rajendra Shukla yesterday while inaugurating the two-day-long Vindhya Mahotsav in Rewa, an official release said today.
Raj Kapoor had a deep connection with the city as his wife Krishna`s father was posted as Inspector General of the Rewa range at the time her marriage with the Bollywood`s legendary showman. "A world class auditorium will be constructed in memory of the great actor Raj Kapoor as he had a very old relation with Rewa," the minister said. On the occasion, the Minister also insisted on conserving and promoting Bagheli literature for making future generations abreast with the rich culture of the region. He also honoured Bagheli litterateurs and visited an exhibition based on Bagheli literature. Senior journalist Jairam Shukla demanded to set up a Bagheli academy for promoting and conserving the rich literature.
