Mumbai: Dusky Indian beauty Freida Pinto, who rose to international fame with Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, turned 29 on Friday.
Hailing from a Mangalorean Catholic family, Freida has now become an internationally renowned celebrity.
While in college, Freida took up modelling assignments and also worked as a TV presenter. Then she enrolled herself in Barry John’s acting studio in Mumbai to fine-tune her acting skills.
‘Slumdog Millionaire’ gave the young lady the much-needed exposure and helped her display her acting prowess in front of the international audience.
Following Slumdog`s success, Frieda bagged a role in Woody Allen’s ‘You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger’ and Julian Schnabel’s film ‘Miral’ in 2010.
‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ saw Freida essay the role of Caroline Aranha and ‘Immortals’ followed thereafter.
As `Princess Leyla` Frieda cast her charm in ‘Day of the Falcon’ that released in 2012 and in the same year played the title role in ‘Trishna’.
The girl also featured in Bruno Mars’ racy video ‘Gorilla’ where she played Isabella, a stripper. The music video was launched on Mars’s official Facebook page and saw Freida in a never-seen-before avatar!
Here’s wishing the birthday girl splendid success and happiness.
