New Delhi: Call it recession’s onslaught or Bollywood’s good luck, a young and promising Parineeti Chopra armed with a triple Honours in business, finance and economics from the UK and fire in her belly, came to India in search of work. She landed in Bollywood, thanks to her sister Priyanka Chopra, who had good clout in the industry.Her stint with Yash Raj Films as a PR consultant lasted a short while after which she was promoted to the post of an actress under the YRF wing. And the rest, as they say, is history. Parineeti entered filmdom with debut vehicle ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ and how! She was touted as the next big thing in Hindi cinema with her kitty full of a whopping three Yash Raj films. Then after, she shone with her act as the fierce and rebellious Zoya Quereshi in ‘Ishaqzaade’. Next came, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput and this time also Parineeti’s charm did not wane even a wee bit despite the presence of an equally talented Vaani Kapoor. All in all, Parineeti has a bright future in Bollywood and we are just waiting for her to shine even brighter in her next few releases – ‘Hasee toh Phasee’ and ‘Daawat-e-ishq’.
