Mumbai: He will always remain Hindi Cinema’s ultimate Sher Khan- fearless, lion-hearted and exceptionally stylish. Pran Sahab, as Bollywood fondly calls him, is no more. He was 93.
His passing away due to prolonged illness has left the film fraternity in a complete state of shock. Celebrities took to Twitter to express grief in their own way. Here’s taking a look at what they had to share:
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "Pran sahab passes away! A gentleman, most collaborative colleague, a senior of immense distinction, a true disciplined professional.Another magnificent pillar of the Film Industry, falls. Our illustrious edifice in ruins, as stalwart after stalwart leaves."
"Truly the end of a magnificent and glorious era. He was a gentleman superstar and heaven is blessed today" said Karan Johar.
Sridevi said: "Today we have lost a legend, a gem and an iconic actor. We will miss you. RIP Pran sahab."
"Final Curtain Call for one of the Most Loved Actors of Indian Cinema..An actor and a gentleman," wrote actor Anupam Kher.
Smriti Z Irani said, "It's your talent that will define your career as an actor not the tag of 'hero' or 'villain' - that's the example set by Pran sahab. RIP."

"R.I.P Pran Saheb! Did not know him personally but heard he was a perfect gentleman with a heart of gold! May your soul rest in Peace," actress Priety Zinta posted on Twitter.
Actor Kabir Bedi tweeted, "Farewell Pran sahib, Godfather of Indian villains, your legendary characters illuminated the annals of Indian cinema. Deepest respects."
