Bollywood`s fresh face Sonakshi on Lanka tour

Colombo: Newbie Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has flown down to Sri Lanka on a four-day visit to film a documentary and do a magazine photoshoot.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau said that the 24-year-old actress will do a photoshoot at the world heritage site Sigiriya for the European life style magazine L`Officiel and later do a documentary on her Sri Lankan experience with television channel CNN. This is Sonakshi`s second Lankan visit. She has won multiple awards for her role in `Dabangg` including 2011 Filmfare award for best female debut, 2011 IIFA star debut award female, 2011 star screen award for most promising newcomer female and 2011 Zee cine award for best female debut. Daughter of veteran actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi will next be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in `Joker` and `Rowdy Rathore`. PTI
