Carey Mulligan asked Colin Firth to give wedding speech

London: ‘An Education’ star Carey Mulligan persuaded actor Colin Firth to give a speech at her wedding reception.

The 26-year-old actress and Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford tied the knot inside a barn at Stream Farm in Bridgwater, Somerset, South West England, at a service conducted by the groom`s vicar father John, reported Sun online. Mulligan and Firth became close during the awards season in 2010, when they were both nominated for multiple gongs- the former for her breakthrough performance in `An Education` and the later for "A Single Man". "She thought it would be funny to have the actor address the room. Unlike his character in `The King`s Speech`, Colin was a pro at the speech. He was his charming self and had the room in fits," a source said. Actors Sienna Miller and Jake Gyllenhaal were also present at the ceremony. PTI
