Carla Bruni to croon for Preity?
Mumbai: If all goes according to plan, France’s First Lady, Carla Bruni will be lending her voice for Preity Zinta in a film. The film in question-‘Ishq in Paris’ is Preity’s maiden production and is slated to be an Indo-French venture.
The makers are planning to approach Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and famous French band Nouvelle Vague for the movie’s soundtrack.
When a daily asked director Prem Soni about the news, he refused to confirm but said, “Yes, we are approaching big names for our soundtrack. Actually, the theme and story of ‘Ishkq In Paris’ demands French songs. So, it’s natural that native singers are roped in. But we can’t reveal anything right now.”
Married to the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla is a former model, songwriter, singer and actor. Preity’s film ‘Ishkq In Paris’ is likely to go on floors by the year-end and will be shot entirely in Paris.
“Our film will include several French actors and singers. A lot of them have already been approached. We have finalised some people but their names will be revealed at the right time,” adds Prem. “We are already working hard on pre-production work,”
The makers are apparently in talks with the French government for permission to shoot the rom-com at some popular tourist spots in world’s love capital. If they get the permission, they would also shoot at the historic Eiffel Tower.
