Srinagar: Bollywood, business and political bigwigs, including Anil Ambani with wife Tina Ambani, Shabana Azmi, Poonam Dhillon, Sunanda Pushkar, Asha Parekh along with Aditya Raj Kapoor, visited Srinagar on Friday, to pay tribute to the flamboyant yesteryear`s actor, Shammi Kapoor, who died on August 14 at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai.
The 79-year-old actor passed away due to kidney failure. They paid tribute to the veteran actor in the city as he had shot many of his films in the valley.
The actor turned singing in a shikara into a style statement with his Tareef Karoon Kya Uski number in the 1964 blockbuster Kashmir Ki Kali. Shammi Kapoor joined the world of cinema in 1948 as a junior artiste and had a long and an illustrious career behind him.
