Mumbai: Applauding the legendary filmmaker Charlie Chaplin`s creative acumen, megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he was a genius and there could be no one like him.
The world celebrated 123rd birth anniversary of Charlie Chaplin, British comic actor and filmmaker who rose to fame in the silent era with films like ‘The Lion`s Cage’, ‘The Circus’ and ‘The gold Rush’, Tuesday.
"It`s the great Charlie Chaplin`s birth anniversary... no one before none after," tweeted the 70-year-old.
"Chaplin...the name and the word exposes, genius. Yet for long he and his works had attracted, world wide, an entire population of admirers. And still does... So what was it that brought that imagery or desire together. Ek aur Sonami," he posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.
Charlie Chaplin died in 1977. He was 88.
