Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell friends again after Cowell says he’s sorry

London: Cheryl Cole has forgiven Simon Cowell and rekindled her friendship with him after he said sorry for dropping the singer as judge from ‘The X Factor’.

Cheryl Cole was axed as a judge from the American version of the show in May, and the two friends fell apart after Cowell did not do more to keep her on.

The 28-year-old English R and B recording artist met the TV mogul secretly two weeks ago in Los Angeles while she was there filming a cameo for the movie ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’.

“Simon invited her for dinner,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.

“He did all the running – he was much more upset about their friendship breaking down than he let on.

“He had been trying to persuade her to meet up for weeks.

“They talked about the sacking and Simon explained why it happened, and apologised for the first time.

“Simon has told Cheryl he wants to work on future projects together,” the source stated.

The patched-up friends have been in touch by text and Cole is said to be feeling great.

“Cheryl is playing it cool but they are friends again. She hasn’t felt this great in months,” a friend added.
