Mohali: Bollywood actress and co-owner of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, Preity Zinta, was thrilled after her team's victory here on Saturday.
Zinta, who is in the United States at present, tweeted after the game saying that she was 'so excited she could not speak'.
She also wrote that she was 'proud' of the team.
David Miller smashed a 34-ball 46 under pressure and Parvinder Awana scalped three wickets as Kings XI Punjab notched up a four-wicket victory over Barbados Trident in the Champions League twenty20.
Put into bat, Barbados posted a challenging 174 for six, riding on twin half-centuries by Dilshan Munaweera (50) and Raymon Reifer (60) in their stipulated 20 overs.
Punjab then managed to held on to their nerves despite losing wickets to eventually earn a hard-fought victory, their second win in as many matches in the tournament, PTI reported.
With four wickets in hand and less than four overs remaining, Miller and No. 8 batsman Akshar Patel (23) scored 47 runs off 19 balls to take their team home.
On September 18 too when Kings XI Punjab had beat Hobart Hurricanes by five wickets in the CLT20, Zinta had posted on the micro-blogging site that she could not have asked for more.
