Court orders Selena Gomez’s stalker to be put under psychiatric hold
Washington: Selena Gomez’s alleged stalker has been placed on a psychiatric hold.
The stalker Thomas Brodnicki, has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which can be enforced if a person is deemed to have a mental disorder which makes them a danger to themselves as well as others.
Brodnicki, who told a therapist that God had ordered him to kill the 19-year-old star, was released from jail on Nov 16, as the judge couldn’t find enough evidence against him.
However, on Nov 17, Brodnicki was handcuffed by police in Los Angeles and taken to a mental hospital where he was placed on psychiatric hold.
“Thomas Brodnicki has been taken to a hospital for mental evaluation. We want to place him in a conservatorship and then send him back to mental health officials in Illinois where he resides,” Contactmusic quoted law enforcement sources as telling Hollywoodlife.com.
A hearing on whether the order should be made permanent or not will be held on November 23.
