Hema Malini had suffered severe head injuries in the crash and was rushed to Fortis hospital here after her Mercedes collided with an Alto that led to the tragic death of a 4-year-old child on the spot.
Besides Hema Malini, currently the BJP MP from Mathura, two people sitting inside the alto car were also critically injured. As per reports, there were two women, two children and a man inside the Alto car when the fatal accident took place.
Actor's daughter Esha Deol reached the Fortis Hospital this morning where Hema Malini has been undergoing treatment.
The Jaipur Fortis Hospital will also hold a press conference on Hema Malini's condition at 11:45 am today, ANI reported.
Meanwhile, Hema Malini's driver has been arrested by the Rajasthan Police after a case of over-speeding and negligence was registered against him. Driver Mukesh Thakur (35) has been booked under sections 279, 337, 338, 304 A of the Indian Penal Code, reportedly.
