Douglas’s ex wife loses Wall Street cash bid
London: Michael Douglas’s ex-wife’s claims for half the amount the star is earning from ‘Wall Street’ sequel went in vain when a judge threw out her bid.
Diandra Douglas, 52, claimed she was entitled to benefit from ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ under the terms of their divorce settlement ten years ago.
However, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper ruled that the New York court was not the proper place to hear her claim but she has the option of trying again in California, reports a daily.
Douglas, 65, who won a Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of crooked Gordon Gekko in the original ‘Wall Street’, was said to be ‘thrilled’.
