Drum prodigy says he was inspired by people of Arunachal

Itanagar: Drum prodigy Toko Teji, the first runner-up in the Colors channel talent hunt show `India Got Talent Khoj 2`, said he was inspired by the support he got from the people back home.

"If my reaching the finals of the event brought Arunachal together even for a moment, I think that is my biggest win", said Teji.

Interacting with the crowd, Teji said that even though he did not win the title, he was completely overwhelmed by the love he got from the people.

"I am proud that I could represent Arunachal at such a platform and I am really grateful to everyone for their support", he said.

Teji, a Class XII student missed the coveted title by a whisker but he definitely was the find and flavour of this season`s contest with his unique drumming talent.

Teji said that he felt like a winner because of unprecedented support and love shown by the people of the state.

"It feels like a dream," says the Class XII student who is determined to pursue his studies in music.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Tako Dabi in a message appreciated the wonder boy for his performance in the talent show.

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has also congratulated Teji for bringing laurels to the state by securing second spot in the reality show.

Earlier, Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu had rewarded Teji with Rs Ten lakh while Lok Sabha MP Takam Sanjoy donated Rs One lakh as a token of appreciation.
