DUI case: LiLo’s lawyer says she shouldn’t be jailed

New York: Actress Lindsay Lohan has admitted that she misses her weekly alcohol treatment classes sometimes, but quickly bellies-up for make up sessions. Her lawyer, for this reason, has said that Lohan does not deserve to be jailed, as she hasn’t violated the Driving Under Influence (DUI) probation, reports The New York Daily News.
“Though there have been occasional weeks when Lindsay has missed her alcohol treatment class, she has always managed to make up the class the following week by attending two classes,” her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said in a statement. “We contend that Ms Lohan is in substantial compliance with the conditions of her probation,” the statement added. The Herbie actress’ fate depends on the judge’s ruling. “This has to be done once a week,” Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel said in December. “Right now the other things will take second place, and this will take first place,” he added. Lohan was first charged with DUI, when she had crashed a Mercedes-Benz into a Beverly Hills tree in May 2007. She was charged with another drunken driving arrest two months later after chasing her former assistant`s mother in a vehicle. ANI
