London: Canadian actress Ellen Page has slammed the "double standard" of Hollywood, saying that gay actors should be able to play roles of any sexuality.
In a recent statement, the 28-year actress said, there are still double standards in Hollywood movies, adding that she has played all sorts of roles, but since she came out of the closet, she has not been offered any role of straight person, the Independent reports.
The ' Freeheld' actress further said that she has four projects coming up and in all she is playinggay roles.
"People ask if I'm concerned about getting pigeonholed. No one asks: 'Ellen, you've done sevenstraight roles in a row, shouldn't you shake it up and do something queer?' she added.
Page's notable film roles include the 'X-Men' series, 'Days of Future Past,' the crime-drama film 'An American Crime' and drama 'The Tracey Fragments.'
